Day 10: January 10, 2010

Wow, you don't realize how much stuff you have until you start getting it ready for a garage sale. I decided today that I was going to start early in getting everything ready so that I can do a little bit at a time instead of stressing about it. I have months to go but I know that time will go fast. Today I tackled some of the baby clothes. I got 3 big boxes of baby clothes sorted, folded, and priced. It was quite an accomplishment but somehow I don't even feel like I scratched the surface yet.

Today we also converted Avery's crib to a toddler bed. It is sort of bittersweet. He is my last baby and this is just one more confirmation that he is growing up. I would have preferred to leave him in his crib a little longer, however he crawled out of it for the first time last Sunday. I can't risk him getting hurt while doing this, so the crib is history. Now comes the challenge of getting him to sleep in his bed - all night. Hopefully the cool Cars bedding we got will help.

  6. so remember those days!! It is hard getting their first big kid bed. My son and daughter were both in toddler beds before they turned 18 months and my youngest son was in one around 15 months. They did not have any issues changing over but letting them pick out the bedding defenitely helped (minnie mouse for my daughter, barney for my middle son and toy story for my youngest)

  11. Awww....so sad to know you are watching the milestones of that "last" baby. My baby is 12 and it doesn't get any easier to go through the changes. She is also super duper spoiled cuz of it. He's precious!
