Day 7: January 7, 2010

Cold temps, blowing snow, slick roads...Tonight is one of those nights that I am thankful to be home with a warm roof over my head. I'm not even sure at this point how much snow we've got but the kids are hoping that there is no school tomorrow. I am hoping for the opposite because I really hate having to use my vacation time to stay home with the boys on a snow day.

Well, here we are at the end of the first week of my project 365. It is going rather well so far. I haven't had a day yet were I was really stumped as to what I was going to take a picture of. I have yet to feature my husband though. Little does he know, but next week he will become my victim!

So today's picture is me. I really hate pictures of me. Hate them with a passion. However, this is a fear that I need to get over as otherwise I will really regret it down the line when my kids are grown and there are no pictures of me with them. So here is my start to getting over this. My self-portrait:

  1. That's a lovely picture! I always hate photos of me too, but I force myself to get into the photos because I know my family loves me no matter what I look like and I want to be in the family history too!

  5. I kinda hate to have pictures taken too but I tell myself that my kids will be upset that there are not any. Unfortunately my husband and kids are unable to get a picture that is not blurry of me qwith my new camera LOL. I like your self portrait though. No reason for you to be self-conscious :-)

  7. You look great! Here's my hint...I take photos of myself ALL the time. If you do it more, I promise it gets easier. And, I even take a ton of photos of myself without makeup now. And they don't look half bad! You should take more photos of yourself!!! :)
